VOTE: Owensboro’s Shealyn Mason Is Headed To Miss Ky Teen USA

Owensboro's Shealyn Mason is headed to Miss Kentucky Teen USA in just a few days and we are rallying to troops because she needs our votes!

If you have ever met Shealyn to say she is a well-rounded young lady would be an understatement.  This girl played varsity basketball for Daviess County High School, cheered, played soccer, and participated in numerous community service projects.  Angel here and I might add she's one heck of a babysitter (Charlotte loves her!)

The Miss Kentucky Teen USA pageant is an organization of empowered and strong young women. This pageant consist of interview, fitness wear, and evening gown. On Friday, interviews start in the morning and we will have prelims later that day where everyone competes! Saturday they narrow it down and those chosen will go on to compete in the finals for the title and we will then find out who our new Miss Kentucky Teen USA is! The pageant will take place this weekend May 21 and May 22 in Somerset, Kentucky.

Here's what Shealyn had to say about the upcoming weekend:

To prepare for Miss Kentucky Teen USA I took it upon myself to raise money, get sponsors, and get my communities to support. After being at college for a year, and having my parents that do so much for me, I really wanted to try to do this independently and not rely on them financially. While doing this, I had an amazing response from friends, family, and the entire community as a whole. I'm very grateful and blessed to be representing a city that supports one another like their own.

Shealyn is a natural when it comes to pageants and has held multiple titles across the bluegrass:  Miss Teen Daviess County 2015, Miss Teen McCracken County 2016, Miss Teen Kentucky County Fair 2016, Miss Kentucky Teen Festivals 2016, Miss Junior Teen Kentucky United States 2018, Miss Daviess County 2020, Miss Owensboro Teen USA
