POLL: Vote for Your Ten Favorite Country Songs of 2022 Now

Here at WBKR, we're getting ready for the Big BKR Smackdown, our annual event that allows you to vote for your favorite songs of the year. This year's Smackdown is going to be completely different from all the other ones. Instead of narrowing 92 songs down to one, we're taking the Top 64 songs of the year and putting them into a gigantic tournament bracket. Think "March Madness" for music.

Of course, The Big BKR Smackdown isn't taking place in March. It's set for Friday, December 30th, 2022 and it gets underway at 7am. We've been closing out the year like this for over a decade here at WBKR and that tradition continues.

Dave Spencer and Erin Grant will be hosting the event that gives YOU the chance to vote, in real time, for your favorite songs of the year. By the end of the day, your votes will have narrowed our list of 64 songs down to one- the champion!! The #1 Country Song of 2022.

Now, to get the ball rolling and to seed our tournament bracket, we're going to put you to work in what we consider our preliminary Smackdown round. Here's a list of the Top 64 country songs of the year. These are songs that made their way onto the country charts this year and received airplay here at WBKR! We want to know which ones are YOUR favorites. Vote for your Top Ten NOW!!

Now, we'll keep preliminary voting open through Wednesday, December 28th. We'll spend Thursday building the big tournament bracket and the head-to-head match-ups will get underway at 7am, Friday, December 30th.

During The Big BKR Smackdown, you'll be able to vote for your favorite songs in real-time, as they play over the airwaves and compete to advance in the bracket. You'll be able to vote via the WBKR Facebook page, by calling the WBKR studio lines at 270-926-WBKR or 1-800-844-WBKR or by sending us messages through the WBKR app.
