Former Owensboro Mayor and Longtime public figure Waymond Morris was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award Monday night at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner. The event, attended by more that 300 people, is designed to pay tribute to one individual who has reached the highest level of public service.

The annual Lincoln Day Dinner is also an opportunity for those seeking political office (mainly from the Republican Party) to meet and greet the voting public.

I was honored to serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event which was held at the Reid Orchard Center. Rather than type a full listing of those in attendance and other facts and figures, I took some photos that I hope will give you a feel for what was a great night of celebration.

A quick reminder that the Primary Election for Kentucky is Tuesday May 17.
