Earlier this year, Daviess County Fiscal Court stocked the lakes at Yellow Creek and Panther Creek Parks with catfish.  Well, they are about to do it again and, when they do, it will the final stocking of the season.

The county plans to stock the lakes this Tuesday.

As you can see in the post, Yellow Creek Park and Panther Creek Park participate in the Fishing in Neighborhoods program, the mission of which is to provide quality fishing opportunities close to home.  The program was created by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources fifteen years ago.  There are currently 44 lakes in the Commonwealth that participate in the initiative.  We're fortunate to have two of them right here in Daviess County.

In addition to the lakes at Yellow Creek Park and Panther Creek Park being stocked Tuesday, the Waymond Morris Park Lake here in Owensboro will also be restocked as well. Yellow Creek Park's getting 600 new catfish.  Panther Creek will get 800.  Waymond Morris Park Lake will be stocked with 1000.

Since March, the three lakes have been stocked with 9,600 catfish.
