Aviation and Aerospace Day Camp for Girls Returning in September

Lauren Dalzell Settles introduced girls to the wonders of the sky last year for the first aviation and aerospace day camp; over 100 young ladies showed up. Settles is getting ready for the second day camp next month. 

The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport will host the day camp again on Saturday, September 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event consists of education, tours, and resources for girls interested in an aviation license or career.

The Bluegrass Chapter of the Ninety-Nines will assist with the event. The registration fee is $15 and if the registration is received by Thursday, August 23rd, the participant will receive a t-shirt. A goodie bag, crafts at the event, and pizza will be available for everyone. Registration will continue through the Friday before the event (9/7).
