It was in 2015 when the "Faces of Our Heroes" tribute to our veterans made its first appearance at the Owensboro Convention Center.

A striking display, the "Heroes" tribute was an opportunity for the public to share its stories of family members and friends who'd served our country and paid the ultimate price.

If you have someone you'd like honored in this pictorial tribute, which will again be on display at the Convention Center during Memorial Day Weekend--May 26 through the 29th--please submit your photos and registration forms at the Daviess County Public Library.

You download the forms by clicking the "Quick Links" tab at owensboro.org or you can pick them up at the library, which will scan your photos at the time of submission.

By the way, if you registered a veteran in 2015, you don't need to do it again.

I look forward to seeing what the "Heroes" tribute will look like in 2017 and in years to come as it appears it will continue to grow.

Love this idea!
