This place looks incredible and I am ready for a road trip.  I was scrolling through YouTube earlier this week and stumbled across a video from Kevin Eassa.  He has a YouTube travel series that literally spans the globe.  However, this particular destination, while it may be reminiscent of "the jungles and rainforests of the Philippines," happens to be in Virginia.

As you'll see in the two videos below, it takes quite a hike along Fork Loop Trial (in Dungannon, Virginia) to get there.  There are actually two routes- a long one (7 miles) and a short one (just under two miles)- to get there.  Both are challenging and cross multiple streams, but seem totally worth the effort.  The final destination, The Devil's Bathtub, looks breathtaking!

Here's Kevin's video!

Here's another cool video with lots of awesome shots of terrain and the tub too.  This video is from Hawk Girl & Jay.

By the way, Dungannon, Virginia is very close to the eastern border of Kentucky.  The driving distance from Owensboro is approximately 364 miles (or 6 and 1/2 hours away).  Plus, of course, there's a one hour time difference due to EST.

In recent years, there has been an unprecedented rise in popularity of the Devil's Bathtub.  Hikers from all over the U.S. are coming to Virginia to see it.  That influx of people has led to some notable environmental issues with parking and littering. Consequently, visitors are asked to #LeaveNoTrace and only park in designated parking areas.
