A good friend of mine is a retired mail carrier and there is no way I'm not making sure he has seen this.

I've always found it interesting that that particular stereotype ALWAYS seems to pan out. You know, the one where the dog goes absolutely bananas when the mail carrier shows up.

Now, I don't have a dog, but I have in the past and I have plenty of friends who have them, so I know that they can develop routines and grow accustomed to things. But, for the most part, it doesn't seem like postal workers are among them.

But now, it's gotten serious. A mailman in Williamsburg, Kentucky named Tim Smith has had an encounter with an axe-wielding dog.

This absolutely cracks me up because it feels like it's part of a movie. Seriously, I think there's a movie in here somewhere, or, at the very least, a very funny SCENE from a movie. Maybe Pixar could look into something. Or maybe it could be "live action" animation.

But somehow, we HAVE to get an axe-wielding dog into a movie now that we know that it CAN happen.

Honestly, this could be the point where mail carriers across the land are going on high alert.

And so the answer to, "Is his bark worse than his bite?" becomes, "Forget his bite; he's carrying an AXE!"
