Details about the incident Saturday night at the Kentucky State Fair are slowly being revealed. This comes a day after the fair decided to install a new attendance policy where minors are concerned.

A shell casing was found on fairgrounds property which leads investigators to believe a gun was indeed fired. The initial report on Saturday night's incident involved large crowds, firecrackers, and the arrest of two adults and the citation of seven juveniles. The word "shooter" was yelled.

Kentucky State Police are seeking to pursue a Wanton Endangerment charge against the male juvenile who discharged a weapon. Other charges including, third-degree assault against a police officer, menacing, disorderly conduct, and interfering in a government operation could also be on the table. The seven juveniles in question were unaccompanied.

The incident has prompted fair officials to start enforcing a new policy where minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 or older if they enter the fair after 6:00 p.m. ET. This policy will be strictly enforced beginning Wednesday.

The state fair ends this coming Sunday.
