The other day, we were just discussing the Owensboro Air Show and wondered when it would happen this year. Lo and behold, we got that announcement today.

The Owensboro Air Show, which will celebrate 100 years of aviation, is scheduled for September 23rd and 24th.

The show will feature the US Air Force F-16 Viper Demo Team, the US Navy F-18 Hornet Demo Team, the Curtiss JN4 Jenny Bi-Plane, Team Aeroshell, the Sky Soldiers, and the Black Daggers Parachute Team.

On Saturday, September 23rd, Owensboro's Blue Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7AM to 1PM to allow for the Bridge Run and Bridge Day events.

On Friday, September 22nd, there will be a smaller show at the Owensboro Regional Airport from 4:30PM until 7PM during which you'll have a chance to meet the pilots of this amazing aircraft.

Paid helicopter rides will also be available.
