Owensboro Dollar General Store Robbed at Knifepoint

At approximately 9PM Thursday evening, Owensboro police responded to a call from the Dollar General Store 2511 4th Street, regarding an armed robbery.

The police said that the suspect came into the store carrying a knife and demanded money, then fled on foot.

One of the Dollar General employees sustained a stab wound and was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

The employee's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
