The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registrations their Summer Day Camp!  If you’re looking for something to help keep your child occupied this summer, this might just be the ticket!

According to a press release from the Parks and Recreation Department, “Camp begins on Monday, May 20, and runs through Friday, August 2.  The Camp will be closed on Memorial Day and July 4th.  Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.”

The camp is open to children ages 5-13.  The children will be provided Breakfast, Lunch, and two snacks. The registration fee is $27. The cost of the camp is a weekly fee of $75 per child per whole week or $60 per half week.  A minimum weekly fee of $20 will be charged, regardless of attendance.  Fees include breakfast, lunch, snacks, camp shirt and bag, and most field trips.

There will be a mandatory meeting for Parents on Thursday, May 10th at the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Administrative Center in Chautauqua Park. The meeting will allow parents to meet the camp staff and do camp orientation. Parents are asked to fill out the release and medical forms before the parents’ meeting.
