The Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra will hold open auditions this Saturday, August 20th between 12 pm and 4 pm. 

There are openings for all orchestral instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, and percussion. Candidates must have two short contrasting studies or solos (4 minutes total) and two major scales (player's choice, multiple octaves appreciated), plus one chromatic scale (player's choice) and sight reading.

To arrange for an audition time, please email OSYO conductor Tom Stites (tom_stites@hotmail.com) on or before this Thursday, August 18th. The auditions will be held at the OSO Academy at 211 East 2nd Street.

The OSYO has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City in June of next year.
