It's time for another early #ThrowbackThursday, this time featuring my friend and my former boss, the late great Moon Mullins.

What I loved about Moon, besides his dry sense of humor, we could have been twins, is that he gave me a second chance at working in radio. Here's the story. Back when the WBKR Waking Crew played Match Game on Fridays, my friend Mary Ann "Andy" Cook took me with her to the station to play. I wore some funky-looking Bob Marley t-shirt, it was early okay? I don't know who brought it up, but the word got out I was in between jobs, and Moon asked me that morning to send him an air check. Thus my career at WBKR/WOMI started and this August, I will have been here 10 years. Where did the time go?

He could keep up with me in pop culture and in sports too. I guess that should be the other way around. He was happy to talk to anyone who came in to visit the old radio ranch. Oh, and he loved ABBA! See, twins!

I wanted to share this photo. At our first Ultimate Dirty Santa Christmas Party at the Hines Center in 2011, there was a photo booth set up. Moon, Chad, me, Dave Spencer, Jaclyn, and special guest Kizzy (Teresa Cook) decided to take one last photo before the booth was broken down...here it is.

Notice Moon never swapped props with anyone, he kept the Darth Vader mask on the whole time until the final reveal, hilarious! I'm going to miss him. He was one of a kind.
