I have some sad news to share this afternoon.  Moon Mullins, my former morning show cohost here at WBKR, has passed away.

Joe Lowe was a guy both Kirk Kirkpatrick and I admired. Joe and I talked about retirement on several occasions. And, on the occasion of my retirement this week I'd like to dedicate this interview to Joe's memory and our friendship. Kirk spoke with me in the WOMI studio, soon to be renamed in Joe's honor, and I'd like you to hear it if you please.

As my retirement date looms this Wednesday, I thought it might be of interest to those of you that are, like Theresa Rowe, Shaped By Faith. Friday and Saturday is Owensboro's famous International Barbecue Festival. And, this year is even better. The  Riverfront is finished. People ask me from time to time, "Moon, what's your favorite song". My response has been for at least 40 years, Gordon Lightfoot's "The Last Time I Saw Her". Yesterday, Gordon's 75th birthday, seems an appropriate time for me to share this with you.

When last we met on this topic it was the end of the second week of my Weight Watchers diet. Now, my waist is down another half-inch and I lost another pound. It could have been more but I didn't get to Health Park as frequently as I'd prefer due to two doctor visits interrupting my plan. I do however have a new picture to share with you.
