
Winter Storm Warning & Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Tristate
Well, we have heard all week long about the possibility of snow this weekend. Now, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the northern parts of the WBKR listening area. Areas south of the river, including Owensboro, are under a Winter Weather Advisory . Here's the latest forecast and what we can expect from this, the official return of winter weather.
Here's the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:
WINTER STORM WARNING (6pm Friday to Noon Saturday)
Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches expected. Most of southwest Indiana, including Gibson, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY (from 6pm Friday to Noon Saturday)
Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches expected. Most of Spencer County Indiana, and western Kentucky along and north of a line from Smithland to Calhoun to Owensboro.
