Authorities Investigating Shooting at English Park in Owensboro

Breaking news this evening.  The Owensboro Police Department is investigating an apparent shooting at English Park in Owensboro.

We are currently awaiting further information from investigating officers, but we have communicated with a witness who lives in the neighborhood, very close to the crime scene.

The witness reports seeing a man "lying in the parking lot screaming."  The witness says there are multiple police cars on the scene and K-9 units are being used to canvass the area.

We have reached out to officials from OPD and will update you as soon as we have additional details.  We do know that one person was taken to the hospital, but the extent of the subject's injuries is unknown.
