City Goes to Call-In for Leaf Pick Up

The Sanitation Department has ended its scheduled passes around the city for loose leaf collection.  The Sanitation Department will now begin to transition back to limb and yard waste gathering while still maintaining a capability to vacuum-collect leaves on call-in basis from our customers. 

Effective Tuesday, December 20, 2011 Sanitation crews will begin to convert most of their leaf vacuum collection equipment back to limb and yard waste collections.  Crews will begin to collect the backlog of limbs and yard waste that have been placed curbside but will not be returning to systematic (on your trash day) loose-limb collection until January 2012. 

Residents desiring vacuum service should phone City Action at 687-4444 to place their address on a list to have their organized leaf piles vacuum collected.
