How Many of These Kentucky Attractions Have You Visited? [GALLERY]
I love to travel. Long distances, short getaways. It doesn't matter. And I love to do it by car because you can see more of the country.
ALMOST LIKE JOHNNY CASH...'I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE, MAN'...AGAIN, ALMOST
In fact, I've visited 45 states and have seen some really cool things I'm sure I would have completely bypassed had I been traveling by air. For example, in Fargo, North Dakota (the most recent NEW state I visited), there's a building dedicated to the MOVIE Fargo, the Oscar-winning 1996 black comedy. Inside it, you'll find the iconic wood chipper that was actually used in the movie.
I've been to New Mexico any number of times, but it wasn't until 2015 that I went to Roswell, a town that seriously leans into its own unique corner of pop culture. I kid you not; there are alien statues outside of ALL kinds of businesses there. So, naturally, there's a museum.
In 2018, my sister and I checked off a bucket list item and visited Mount Airy, North Carolina. It's the town on which MAYBERRY from The Andy Griffith Show was based. It's Griffith's hometown.
All were awesome car trips.
BUT MAYBE IT'S TIME TO EXPLORE THE HOME STATE
And yes, of course flying is a massive time saver, and I will need to do it to get to my last five. For one thing, I've heard it's very difficult to DRIVE to Hawaii.
But I might ought to set my sights a little closer to home, too. There are parts of Kentucky and ATTRACTIONS here in the Commonwealth I've never seen.
With that in mind, I've compiled a list of 25 of the Bluegrass State's attractions and am wondering how many of them YOU have visited.
