The Owensboro Multi-cultural Festival is set for Saturday August 20th on the front lawn of First Presbyterian Church in Owensboro.

The church, located at 1328 Griffith Ave. ,has been the home of the festival since it began 13 years  ago. Hours are 11am till 6pm. The Multi-Cultural Festival is free with the exception of food and beverage and any gifts you might buy from the many Country Booths that will be set up.

You simply can't get bored with all the entertainment. The event will feature Dancing, live music, Ethnic Fashions, Food from around the World, parades, face painting and more.

You will be able to visit the world in one afternoon. The list of countries represented include: Japan, Czech Republic, Native American, India, Ireland, Haiti, England, France, Mexico, China, Scotland, Eqypt, Syria, Philippines and Bolivia.

Parades, demonstrations and live music is always a part of the program. The Daviess County Public Library Genealogy dept will be on hand. Additional booths will be set up by The Kentucky Dulcimers, Green River District Health Dept. with more to be added.

"Celebrate Diversity, Reaching Beyond Ourselves" is the theme of the Multi-Cultural Festival. From the way things sound, this could the biggest and best yet.
