Owensboro Woman to Compete For Title of Miss Kentucky
Local Owensboro Woman, Katie Bouchard, is preparing to head Lexington to compete in the Miss Kentucky 2018.Katie, currently holds the title of Miss Horse Capital of the World, and will be leaving for the pageant Friday. This is the 2nd time that Katie has competed in the Miss Kentucky Pageant. Last year she competed and won "Miss Kentucky's Newcomer of the Year" and placed 2nd runner up for the Heather French Henry Quality of Life Award which has to do with her service platform that she star "Spreading the Gift of Sight Around the World" that she started when was Miss Daviess County 2013. To date, Katie has collected over 11,000 pairs of glasses and been named a Kentucky Colonel.
Katie attends Western Kentucky University where she is majoring in Social Work and plans to persue a career in Family Resource Coordinator in the school system so she can help at-risk students.
