Chamber Questions Events Center Costs and Size

At a noontime news conference The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce publicly asked questions many citizens have had recently. These questions are about the proposed Events Center size and costs. In what may be a related story the Owensboro Daviess County Industrial Development Authority meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Also a Special called meeting of the Daviess County Fiscal Court is set for noon tomorrow. That meeting in regarding an appointment to the Industrial Development Authority.

Those who have comments regarding the Events Center, Tax Money being spent on downtown redevelopment plans that were not in the approved Gateway plan or other concerns should attend the Steering Committee Meeting at 1pm Wed. at City Hall.
