Retired Owensboro Priest Charged with Sex Abuse

In February, 2011 the Owensboro Police Department opened an investigation of possible sex abuse of a male juvenile that involved a local Priest. The victim alleged that the abuse had occurred in 1978 while the Priest was serving at Blessed Mother Church in Owensboro.

Sexual Abuse, 1st Degree, Victim < 12 Years of Age – Class C Felony

A Detective completed an investigation and forwarded all case information to the Daviess County Grand Jury, where the suspect, Louis F. Piskula, was indicted on the below charges.



The Indictment Warrant was served on Piskula this morning, and he is lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
